Happy Holi to M.F.HUSSAIN

As holi is the festival of colors,i think,a painter must be the person who feels this festival very close to his heart.
M.f.hussain,the greatest indian painter alive, who has been living in u.k.-u.a.e. for past half a decade or so,is offered citizenship by Qatar and hussain may give a nod to it.

Hussain is a criminal? Only criminals an pakistan's dethroned presidents live in exile.hussain is neither of these.he's an artist who doesn't know ways of the world,he doesn't care that everybody stays pleased.
'Emotions' of handful people running small time parties got hurted by titles of the paintings.they tossed this issue and overnight hussain became the bad man. His gallery in ahmedabad called 'gufa' too was attacked and his several paintings destroyed.after number of protests held against him, many cases filed against him,he chose to leave the country. Half a dozen extremists decide whether you'll be allowed to live in the country or you'll leave it.the govt, the court, the police, the human rights commission, the art lovers-all these bodies could not provide protection to the great painter.

Just like bangladesh's generation next will ask their parents why they could not deserve taslima nasrin, our kids will ask us the same question with hussain's name replacing taslima when they grow up. How will you explain?

3 ટિપ્પણીઓ:

  1. This is true the artist can feel the festival or any occasion very close to his heart...and i feel every artist is Mad creation by the God...And they cross the limit of Madness too...And in the place or country where people are overshadowed by the blanket of religion they can go and see the only one aspect of the any matter and that is over-communilasm at the end of extremism thats why we are being lack of the many greatest art of our county that been destroyed due to same feeling...here is not the matter where only one group is labelled as offenders but all the groups are same and because of that we are suffering and we have suffered a lot and we have lost our 10,000years old culture and still we are loosing...But now the question is who will come ahead and explain them that if you are destroying you are present you are destroying your HISTORY and FUTURE as well...
    Conserve Art...Conserve History...Conserve Future...
    Happy Holi...

  3. "aakhare to sahishnuta j aapni sanskruti no mantra hato"....kem aapne maniye chhiye...after all its all about our culture and conserving it we have something that we have to save it thats we will be having for our future generation its not about the whole of the culture that is at risk because of these all small matters but the questions here is loosing some greater creations...and these all small matters and creations alltogeather thats we call our culture...and never always the politics come in the picture because world history also has the influence of the politics...and here the question is about making awakening ourself making senstive the mankind and our people about these matters...
