ADVT. SLOGANS:DO THE NEW

TATA Teleservices,which failed to attract customers with Tata Indicom,made a comeback with bang with a funny brandname DOCOMO targetting the youth and made the giants like Airtel and Vodafon copy its 'pay per second' scheme. By the way,with everything fresh in it, docomo has its slogan that looks quite similar to Mountain Dew slogan. DO THE DEW is mountain dew,a soft drink brand's slogan. DO THE NEW is docomo's.

There was a hard drink brand (i forgot its name) which had one of the best slogans i've ever come across: FUNRISE AT SUNSET

8 pm brand liquor has very indianised slogan: AATH KA THAATH
Johny Walker,the most premium liquor co.'s slogan has become a classic line: KEEP WALKING

Let's move from alcohol to nicotin. Most probably benson&hedges cigarette has this slogan-a wonderful one- BEST TOBACCO MONEY CAN BUY
Wills slogan MADE FOR EACHOTHER gave an idea to a filmmaker and what we received was a timeless lovestory named 'EK DUJE KE LIYE'.
I don't know whether the co. exists or not but the slogan of Society Tea still exists in my mind: TEA AS IT SHOULD BE

More kicking thing than the former two too has an unforgattable slogan. Yes,it's money i'm talking about. MASTER CARD has the slogan that's just kammaal. THERE ARE SOME THINGS MONEY CAN'T BUY. FOR EVERYTHING ELSE THERE IS MASTER CARD.
ICICI Bank had in recent past a nice slogan: ZINDAGI KA HISAB KITAB

One of the tiles brand slogan says: NOT JUST TILES...LIFESTYLE

The media brands, though having highly creative crew on their side,have very dull slogans. Divya bhaskar had TAMARI MARJI NU AKHABAR
so dry!
Sandesh wishes SUPRABHAT GUJARAT
dry again!
CHITRALEKHA prints on its masterhead: SADA AGRESAR SAPTAHIK
so pale!
Yes,ABHIYAN has little spark in its slogan:
TAMARI MATE,TAMARI SATHE...SATAT
Times of india has been dreaming to prevail truth since 1838 and says LET TRUTH PREVAIL

INDIAN EXPRESS slogan reflects Ramnath goenka era with its slogan JOURNALISM OF COURAGE

Vinod 'the versetile' mehta plays it cool with just THE WEEKLY MAGAZINE for OUTLOOK.

It's an interesting world of advt slogans if you give it a glance.
I think we should meet once again for some more interesting slogans.

  1. કિરણ, ખરો તારો સ્લોગનનો રસ ! મને ચિંતા એ છે કે તારો રસ એવો કેવો કે તું યાર, હાર્ડ ડ્રીન્કનાં સ્લોગનો જ વાંચે. ગુજરાતમાં તો તે લૂઝ પેકિંગમાં મળે છે, અને તેને મેળવ્યા પછી તે પીવા માટેનો સ્થળનો જોગ કરવાનો. આવામાં સ્લોગન ક્યાંથી યાદ આવે?
    દૂરદર્શન પર ગાંધીજી વિષેનું અદભૂત સ્લોગન આવતું- 'his greatness was his simplicity.' ટી.વી.નો વ્યાપ વધ્યા પછી લાગે છે કે સ્લોગનના પંચ કરતાં તેને રજૂ કરનારનું અને જિંગલની ધૂનનું મહત્વ વધી ગયું છે. જેમ કે- દેખા, કિતને કામ આયે ઇગલ' અથવા 'પામોલિન દા...' વગેરે સાવ સામાન્ય પ્રકારના છે, પણ ખૂબ જીભે ચડેલા. કોણ જાણે કેમ, 'મેરા ભારત મહાન' મને સૌથી ડલ અને લાઉડ લાગ્યું છે.
